Power Slap 18 Wager Watch: Great First Card of the Year

Power Slap 18 is set up to be a straight-up fun watch. The card builds into a 5-round title fight where the tension is going to be high from the first coin toss — Ron “Wolverine” Bata defending against a newly-sized Da Crazy Hawaiian in a matchup that feels like it could swing wildly round to round. That’s the kind of main event that makes the whole night feel live.

And it’s not just the headline. The main card is stacked with “watchable” and bettable fights — every matchup has a real storyline, real power, and real swing potential. From a heavyweight hammer spot, to a dog I think is mispriced, to a couple coin-flip style matchups where one detail could decide everything… it’s a perfect Slap Wager Watch card.

Odds below from: Bovada

The first couple of fights include newer fighters where I have little info and therefore see little upsaide and I won’t be betting them.

These include:

  • Light Heavyweight (3 Rounds): Luke “Lethal Strike” Simonds (205.5) vs. Peter “THE ALIGATOR ALL G” Truchlik (194)

  • Heavyweight (3 Rounds): Jordan Oasis (237) vs. Jonathan “Rican Rambo” Correa (262)

  • Super Heavyweight (3 Rounds): Kalani “Toko” Vakameilalo (353) vs. Casey Stephens(402.5)

Dakota “The Maritime Menace” McGregor (154.5) [-105] vs. Vince “The Mercenary” Tracey (155) [-125] — LHW, 3 Rounds

  • Read: Tracey’s progression has been real — cleaner process, better composure, and more consistent slapping. McGregor is live, but I trust Tracey’s trend line more.

  • Hub-SlapScore: Leans Tracey (performance quality ↑).

  • Pick: ✅ Vince Tracey ML (-125)

  • Prop: 🔥 Not To Go The Distance (if the price is fair)

Wes “Boom” Mena (230) [+120] vs. Zakir “Steppe Thunder” Naimanbayev (263) [-155] — HW, 3 Rounds

  • Read: Zakir hits like a truck and hasn’t been knocked out. Add the size advantage (weight in ~30lbs heavier) and it’s the cleaner side to bet. Mena has power — but his last outing was rough, and I’m not paying +variance tax to fade the bigger, steadier hammer.

  • Hub-SlapScore: Strong favor to Zakir.

  • Pick: ✅ Zakir Naimanbayev ML (-155)

  • Prop: Pass

Brandon “The Ripper” Rhodes (185.5) [-170] vs. Azael “El Perro” Rodriguez (186) [+130] — MW, 3 Rounds

  • Read: I don’t agree with this price. Rhodes improved, but the context is soft (Muniz looked weaker after moving up; next a win against a rookie). Azael moving down a class, tested chin, and solid mechanics makes him live — and I’ll take the value.

  • Hub-SlapScore: Favors Azael.

  • Pick: 💰 Azael Rodriguez ML (+130) (value dog)

  • Prop: Pass (dog money is enough)

Alan “The Kryptonian” Klingbeil (203.5) [-125] vs. Logan “Kill Shot” Greenhalgh (205.5) [-105] — LHW, 3 Rounds

  • Read: Klingbeil has looked strong, but I’m seeing flinches on almost every exchange — if they tighten calls, that’s a real risk. If they don’t, this is close to a coin flip. Logan’s last outing was violent and the number is playable.

  • Hub-SlapScore: Slight lean Logan.

  • Pick: 👀 Lean Logan Greenhalgh ML (-105)

  • Prop: Pass

Ron “Wolverine” Bata (204.5) [-135] vs. Da Crazy Hawaiian (204) [+105] — LHW Title, 5 Rounds

  • Read: Love Da Crazy Hawaiian dropping into a better class for his frame — but the big unknown is whether the power carries after a drastic change. Too many variables for me to build parlays around it.

  • Hub-SlapScore: Leans Wolverine over five (durability/process).

  • Pick: Lean Wolverine ML (-135)

  • Prop: Pass

  • Note: No parlays with this fight.

Card Plan & Exposure

  • Featured plays: ✅ Tracey ML, ✅ Zakir ML

  • Best value: 💰 Azael ML (+130)

  • Prop I’m eyeing: 🔥 Tracey–McGregor NTGTD (price dependent)

  • Pass/trim: First three prelims (thin tape), title fight (variables)

  • Bankroll tone: Discipline first — clean profit > splashy slips
